Ctrl + 0 in AutoCAD activates or deactivates Clean Screen mode.
This mode hides toolbars, ribbons, and palettes to maximize the drawing area.
It provides a larger workspace for focused drafting and design.
What is Ctrl + 0 in AutoCAD?
In AutoCAD, Ctrl + 0 (zero) toggles Clean Screen Mode on and off.
What Clean Screen Mode does
When enabled:
- Hides most toolbars, ribbons, palettes, and panels.
- Maximizes the drawing area.
- Gives you more workspace for viewing and editing drawings.
When disabled:
- The normal AutoCAD interface (Ribbon, toolbars, palettes, etc.) reappears.
Alternative command
You can also type:
CLEANSCREENON
to turn it on, and
CLEANSCREENOFF
to turn it off.
Example
If you’re working on a complex floor plan or mechanical drawing and want more screen space, press Ctrl + 0. Press it again to restore the full interface.
